Daddy's Sick

Well, last Saturday (March 29th), Matt went for a run and came home feeling really drained. He said that he felt really tired, that his muscles ached, that he had a headache, and that the run was the worst run he'd ever had. After taking a shower he still felt icky, so I told him that I thought he was getting the flu. He didn't think so...but within about 30 minutes, he had the chills, was sweating profusely, and had a pounding headache. Well, I think I was right because he continued to have a headache, sweat, and have the chills all night long--and has continued to have those symptoms for the past week.

So, since he wasn't feeling good all week, he didn't run after he got home like he usually does. On Saturday (April 5th), he thought he was getting better, so he went running again. Well, it was like groundhog day. He came home feeling sick again. So, Saturday night was filled with sweaty sheets, a headache, and chills and it has continued until today. He's at work as I write this, but I imagine that he's going to feel the same way tonight when he gets home. For some reason, during the day he only has a headache and then at night all the symptoms flair up and he feels horrible. Luckily, neither Ava nor I have gotten whatever junk Matt has. Hopefully it'll stay that way and we both survive the flu season unscathed.

Anyhow, here are some pictures of Ava lying beside her Daddy on the bed last weekend. I walked into the bedroom and I instantly turned and ran into the kitchen to get the camera. These pictures are completely UN-posed! They just so happened to be doing the same physical gestures at the same time. Then, moments later, Ava moved her arm and put her hand on her Daddy's face. It was so unbelievably cute. Ava is a great sympathizer isn't she...
